Protein Production & Target Generation

We offer complete protein science solutions, including construct design, cloning, expression, purification & characterization. For challenging proteins, our proprietary Combinatorial Domain Hunting (CDH) technology can quickly identify soluble, highly expressible protein constructs which are suitable for use in assays or for structural biology, and our PoLiPa platform allows efficient preparation of stable and highly purified membrane proteins. Our structural biologists can generate high-resolution X-ray crystal structures providing invaluable information for your program and enabling structure based drug design (SBDD) as your project progresses.

Hit Identification

We use several rapid and cost-effective techniques for hit identification. We deploy fragment-based drug design (FBDD), virtual screening, high throughput screening (HTS) or literature-to-lead approaches to generate novel chemical matter. Our cost-effective hit identification platforms will gain you an early edge over competitors and are supported by a full suite of assay biology services, including biophysical, biochemical and cell-based assay development and screening.

Hit-to-lead and Lead Optimisation

By rapidly establishing the potential of each of your hits, we can focus our lead optimization work on the most promising chemical series. Our medicinal and computational chemists use best-in-class molecular docking and physicochemical property prediction software to inform their design process before the compounds are synthesized in our laboratories. Once synthesized, compounds are tested in carefully designed screening cascades, which include in vitro pharmacology and ADME assays, to ensure that only those compounds with the highest chances of success are progressed. Our talented team will constantly assess and revise the cascade to adapt it to your evolving project, incorporating PK and efficacy studies, when appropriate. Our structural biologists will generate high-resolution X-ray crystal structures of your protein target bound to compounds of interest, providing invaluable information to guide the optimization process. As your project progress through lead optimization, our team can produce larger compound batches, in our onsite scale up facility, to enable efficacy and toxicity studies, in higher species, to be performed.

We carefully design and then thoroughly test each compound that we make, aiming to simultaneously optimize all aspects of the target product profile (TPP). By doing this, your drug candidate will be delivered with the smallest number of iterations possible, saving you both time and money.
