Private Healthcare

We offer private medical care via AVIVA as a benefit which you can take advantage of as soon as you join the business. This can cover a wide variety of areas including minor operations, hospital stays, cancer care, plus cash back for dentist and optician charges. There is also assistance with physiotherapy and other areas such as mental well-being too.

Electric Car Scheme

We have a fantastic electric car scheme with Octopus Energy available for you. This gives you up to 40% off the cost of a brand new electric car and the opportunity to pay monthly via salary sacrifice, therefore saving tax and national insurance on your payments.

Cycle to Work Scheme

The Cycle to Work scheme is a government-approved employee benefit that allows individuals to purchase a bicycle and accessories, including e-bikes, through the company, with the cost deducted from your salary pre-tax.

Pension Scheme

We operate a generous pension scheme with Standard Life where you can contribute up to 5% and the company contributes up to 10%. In addition there is salary sacrifice option to make it more tax efficient.

Holiday Trading

Either buy more holidays at the start of the holiday year – a maximum of an additional 5 holiday days per year including carry over. If you do not think that you are going to use all your holiday balance in the new holiday year and do not want to carry them over to the next, you can sell back up to 5 holiday days.

Relocation Support

We offer a generous relocation package which can be discussed on an individual basis once an offer has been made

Gym Membership

We have a discounted gym membership scheme run via a company called Gym Flex. Domainex will pay £10 per month towards your subscription.

Tayo Alleyne-Weir

Senior Scientist II Biology Department

'After my MRes I spent 2 years in industry before joining Domainex over 4 years ago. Throughout my career I have been developing a broad skillset in protein sciences and assay biology. In my time at Domainex I have helped to establish automated workflows within the bioassay group. Another aspect I enjoy is client interaction and being involved in their drug discovery process - my main focus and enjoyment is contributing to biochemical or biophysical assay development and screening of HTS programs. At Domainex I work in a diverse team both scientifically and culturally; this has helped me to significantly develop my interpersonal, communication and technical skills.'

Commercial Operations Scientist (previously in Chemistry Department)

'I have been at Domainex over 5 years, post completion of my PhD at Loughborough University. Since joining Domainex I have developed both my scientific and soft skills. Domainex offers a wide range of internal training courses, and this has helped me to develop my skills. I am privileged to work alongside a highly talented group of scientists who are also very generous with their time and keen to share their experience and knowledge. Domainex is an enjoyable place to work, alongside great people, the opportunities to get involved in things outside of science are plentiful - for example charity walks and social events. '

'After completing my PhD in Chemistry, I spent a year and a half in industry before joining Domainex in 2022. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Domainex and have found it to be a very friendly environment to work in with lots of learning opportunities and variety. During my time at Domainex, I have worked on both synthetic and medicinal chemistry projects, and I have had the opportunity to contribute to both HTE and D2B chemistry initiatives.'
