In vitro models of primary human B cell activation

B cells are a class of lymphocyte that are important in the adaptive immune response, offering protection against pathogens.

Using primary human B cells, Domainex has established an in vitro assay service to measure several maturation readouts. By stimulating the Toll-like receptor 9 on B cells, proliferation and secretion of maturation markers is increased. This effect can be inhibited with a known phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) inhibitor.
